Hello everyone, my name is Amar and I am currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow here at the Resilience Research Centre. I have a PhD in Religious studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, looking at social movements and diaspora politics in Canada. I have edited a few books, and written some stuff – some academic, others not. ). My research interests are in diaspora politics, post-war reconstruction, surveillance, social movements, radicalization and terrorism, and media studies. When I’m not working, I’m usually playing with blocks on the floor with my daughter, or watching reruns of the West Wing.
